an update from someone thats actually in Dubai, not from basement in India;
barely anything yesterday. spent the day taking care of things in city and evening with friends in open space
ZERO events today. spent the morning-early afternoon on the beach. just had a business meeting/meal in the open for 2 hours
ignore the fear mongering and tax-loving haters. first day was indeed tricky, as they always are due to lowered defenses. now it's much better, uneventful.

people asking if they should leave Dubai through alternative routes;
likely not, you're much safer in hotels/apartments with actual civilization around you
hunker down safely and wait for airport to open

to be fair, speaking with my geopolitical expert and using common sense - I don't think Irans hostility towards Dubai is with the intention to kill and destroy
