Golden Finance reports that on April 23, a survey of 6,000 European investors in Germany, Italy, Spain, and France found that 35% of respondents said they would consider switching to that bank if other banks offered better cryptocurrency investment options.
This finding highlights that digital assets are becoming a focus of competition in the retail banking industry.
This study, commissioned by Stuttgart Digital Exchange and conducted by Marketagent from August 2025 to January 2026, found that one-quarter of European investors have already invested in cryptocurrencies, with Spain having the highest adoption rate at 28%.
Germany follows closely behind at 25%, with Italy and France slightly lower.
