SpaceX IPO prospectus discloses executive compensation, Elon Musk takes symbolic salary

Golden Finance reported that on April 21, according to Reuters, SpaceX’s prospectus shows that President Gwynne Shotwell’s total compensation last year reached $85.8 million, placing her among the highest-paid executives in the United States. Shotwell also serves as Chief Operating Officer, with a base salary of $1 million, while most of her compensation comes from stock options and awards. A prospectus summary shows that Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnson’s total compensation was $9.8 million; meanwhile, as SpaceX’s largest shareholder, CEO Musk paid himself only $54,080 in salary.
