Golden Finance reports on March 29 that Democratic Senator Andy Kim from New Jersey urged Trump not to send ground troops to Iran. Kim, a former diplomat, stated during an interview with CNN on Sunday morning that deploying ground troops to Iran would only prolong the conflict and further increase risks in a situation where so many military personnel are already in danger. Kim also questioned what the purpose of such an extremely risky action would be. Previously, the Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Department of Defense is considering sending up to 10,000 ground troops to the Middle East. Although the specific deployment locations of these troops are not yet clear, they are likely to be positioned within striking distance of Iran and its oil export hub located on Khark Island.
