When it comes to business elites, the names of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong always come to mind. However, in the world of cryptocurrency, Jiangsu has quietly cultivated several industry benchmarks, among which Zhao Changpeng and Xu Mingxing are the most prominent.

Zhao Changpeng is from Lianyungang. He went to Canada at the age of 12 and later gained a solid background in fintech through experience at the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Bloomberg. In 2014, he made a decision most people wouldn't dare to—selling his house to buy Bitcoin with all his funds. Three years later, he founded Binance, which quickly evolved into the world's largest cryptocurrency trading ecosystem.

Also from Jiangsu is Xu Mingxing, originally from Huai'an. He dropped out of Renmin University of China to start his entrepreneurial journey. After three failures, he began to focus on Bitcoin inspired by a US TV series. In 2013, he founded OKCoin, a platform praised in the industry as a "talent incubator," where many key figures in the crypto world, including Zhao Changpeng and He Yi, have worked. Although the platform later faced controversy over contract trading and other issues, it completed a transformation by obtaining compliance licenses in multiple countries and has gradually stepped back from daily operations.

Additionally, Zhou Shuoji from Yancheng founded the blockchain investment firm FBG Capital, which holds an important position in industry financing. This land of Jiangsu seems to have an innate talent for finding opportunities in emerging markets.
