On December 29th, Jinshi Data reported that Ko Wen-je, the chairman of the Taiwan People’s Party, was granted bail pending trial by the Taipei District Court on December 27th. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office filed an appeal to the Taiwan High Court on the same day. At 9:00 am on December 29th, the Taiwan High Court announced the ruling. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office’s appeal was successful, and the case was sent back to the Taipei District Court for further ruling. This means that there will be changes in Ko Wen-je’s bail.
