On June 5th, SpaceX announced on its official social media platform that it has obtained regulatory approval for the fourth test flight of Starship on June 6th. The launch window will be within 120 minutes starting at 20:00 Beijing time on June 6th (Thursday).

It is reported that the focus of SpaceX's test flight this time is not on entering orbit, but on demonstrating the ability to return and reuse the starship and super-heavy rocket.

In addition, SpaceX has designed the interstellar spacecraft as a fully reusable super heavy-duty launch system for missions to the moon, Mars, and beyond. For the fourth flight, SpaceX has carried out multiple software and hardware upgrades, and plans for the interstellar spacecraft and super heavy-duty rocket boosters to fly on a trajectory similar to the third test flight.

It is reported that the starship is 120 meters high, consisting of a bottom 70 meters high, equipped with 33 'Raptor' engines, and a top 50 meters high reusable spaceship cabin. It has an Earth orbit carrying capacity of over 100 tons and can transport cargo and astronauts to Earth orbit, the moon, Mars, and even deep space.

In March this year, in the third attempt, the Starship completed almost the entire space flight test, reaching orbital speed for the first time, but disintegrated on its return to Earth.
