Sam BankmanFried, the founder of FTX cryptocurrency exchange, has enlisted Harvard Law professor Laurence Tribe to help him avoid jail time for disclosing information to the press. Tribe argues that BankmanFried's disclosures to the New York Times about a former colleague do not meet the criteria for witness tampering. BankmanFried is facing charges of stealing billions of dollars in customer funds and is currently on bail awaiting trial.
