Polygon Is Launching Upgraded POL Token as Part of Network Revamp

Polygon, a network built to help scale Ethereum, is launching a new token called POL as part of its upgrade to Polygon 2.0. The POL token will allow holders to become validators within the network and validate multiple chains and networks. The vision for Polygon 2.0 is to create the Value Layer of the Internet, where anyone can create, exchange, and program value. The migration from the current MATIC token to POL would require a simple technical action and token holders would be given ample time to upgrade.
