Crypto news, AI evaluation and observability tool company Gentrace has shut down, and its co-founder and CEO Doug Safreno announced he is joining Anthropic. Gentrace previously helped companies test and monitor the output quality of LLMs, and raised $8 million in Series A funding led by Matrix, totaling $14 million in funding. Safreno stated that co-founder and CTO Vivek Nair had already joined Anthropic, and Nair and his friend at Anthropic, Yongxing Deng, convinced him to follow, citing Anthropic's speed and values.
