US media: Wans will attend the meeting, and the Revolutionary Guard demands that Iran take a tough stance
Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 21, according to AXIOS, three sources say Vance is expected to depart for Islamabad on Tuesday morning to negotiate a potential agreement to end the war with Iran. Although reaching a comprehensive agreement on such a tight schedule is highly challenging, if signs of progress emerge, Trump may also agree to extend the deadline. Throughout Monday, the White House was waiting for signals from Tehran confirming that they would send a negotiating delegation to Islamabad.
An insider revealed that Iran has been stalling, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has apparently pressured the negotiating team to take a tougher stance—that is, no negotiations unless the U.S. sanctions are lifted. The Iranian delegation has been waiting for the green light from the Supreme Leader. According to sources, approval was given late Monday local time. Two sources said Vance will depart on Tuesday morning local time, while a third source indicated he might leave late Monday night. (CoinDesk)
