AI programming startup Cursor plans to raise at least $2 billion, with a valuation of $50 billion
Deep Tide TechFlow News, April 18, according to TechCrunch, AI programming startup Cursor is close to completing a new round of financing, with a funding scale of at least $2 billion, post-money valuation of about $50 billion, nearly doubling from the $29.3 billion valuation six months ago. This round of financing is led by existing investors Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, with Battery Ventures and strategic investor NVIDIA also expected to participate. Currently, the round has been oversubscribed, but the terms have not yet been finalized.
In terms of performance, Cursor expects its annual revenue to exceed $6 billion by the end of 2026, at least tripling from the $2 billion annual revenue disclosed in February this year. Regarding profitability, the company has achieved a slight positive gross margin overall after launching its self-developed Composer model in November last year and introducing low-cost third-party models (such as Kimi in China). The enterprise side has already achieved gross profit margin profitability, but individual developer accounts are still in a loss state.
