Alt season? Is that a false proposition?
Recently, I often see complaints like this in the community: ONDE I plummeted, DOGE is trapped at nearly 50%, when will APT recover to break even? Let me say something harsh— the altcoins you hold may have developers who have already fled, and the remaining circulating coins might just be market makers still holding on. Not convinced? Check the depth of those coins, try withdrawing market maker funds, and you'll find that actual buying is very limited.
Want to know which projects are truly "dead"? Look again at the big candlestick on October 11, the answer is clear. The sharp drop that day was like a mirror reflecting many projects without substance.
Ultimately, the logic of alt season has never changed: when mainstream coins rise to high levels, funds will flow to seek assets with better price ratios. The problem this year is different — the BTC surge was largely driven by institutional funds, and the abundant money is only circulating among a few mainstream coins, not flowing into this pool of altcoins. So, it’s no surprise that you don’t see a situation where all coins rise together.
The game of altcoins is basically still the same: storytelling, creating concepts, shouting slogans. However, in recent years, blockchain development has been very rapid, and various coin issuance platforms have lowered the barriers to the lowest prices, increasing the number of projects dozens of times. Now the market is no longer stuck in "drawing the cake"—projects without real revenue and application scenarios, no matter how beautiful the story, will not stand firm. Although they won't immediately go to zero, altcoins without strong support, like castles on the beach, will be destroyed when the waves come.
If the altcoin you hold is a "pure story type," sell immediately during a rebound. In investing, 80% of the time is waiting. Choose the right assets, be patient for opportunities, and wait for the moment when "All in" arrives.
During this time, maintain small, regular investments in reliable coins, endure the winter, and spring will come. Remember: survival is a prerequisite for talking about the future.
