Well, I discovered something crazy about Mohamed Bdj, who was showing off on Instagram with his 300K followers. The guy was posting his first-class trips, luxury cars, millionaire lifestyle... and all of it was based on a complete NFT scam. Authorities just caught him, and he has to pay a €150,000 fine. Honestly, looking at the reviews of this trader, it's crazy how he managed to deceive so many people.
Initially, between January and May 2022, he was promoting a shady project called 'crazykartssociety' by selling NFT karts for €450 each. The thing is, he promised quick profits, huge rewards, gaming parts... but nothing actually existed. Zero games, zero earnings. Victims' reviews talk about a pure and simple scam.
Out of the 5,000 karts announced, only 3,000 were put up for sale. And here’s the worst part: 2,400 were bought by the founders themselves just to make it look like it was working. In the end, only 591 were sold to real people, which potentially caused €265,000 in damages. Even YouTuber TheKairi78 got caught with a €45,000 fine for promoting this scam without disclosing it was sponsored.
The DGCCRF explained that social media has become the playground for financial scammers. In 2024, they prosecuted 10 influencers involved in trading and crypto. When they contacted Mohamed Bdj for his side, he refused to respond and just told them to find a very good lawyer. The message is clear: beware of influencers promising to make you rich quickly with NFTs or trading. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam.
