Have you ever thought about how quickly Elon Musk's wealth is growing per second? I just came across a calculation that really surprised me. The guy earns about $3,700 in a single second – for most of us, that's more than a whole month's salary. Crazy, right?
When you extrapolate that, it gets even more absurd. Per minute, we're talking over $220,000, per hour about $13 million. That's the income with which you could buy a private jet in less than two hours. Every day, his wealth increases by over $320 million – an amount larger than the entire budget of some countries.
By the beginning of 2024, his net worth had grown to around $429 billion, catapulting him to the top of the list of the world's richest people. The question is: how does it even work? Mainly through Tesla. The stock has simply exploded, and every movement there directly impacts his wealth. Plus, there are future projects – SpaceX making progress in space, xAI working on artificial intelligence. All of this continues to push his wealth upward.
When I imagine Elon Musk's wealth growing so fast per second, while ordinary people spend years working for what he earns in a minute... it just shows how different the rules of the game are for people in his position. In one week, he accumulates wealth that would take others a century to build. Wild, when you think about it.
