Traders, how do they end up destroying themselves

I've seen too many people whose accounts go to zero not because of the market, but because of their own hands.

Clearly holding a full position for an entire year, finally waiting for an opportunity, only to find their account can't even cover a zero. Is this called vision? No, it's welding shut the escape route. The golden opportunity is right in front of you, but you can't even afford a shovel, so you just squat by the pit watching others pick up money.

And then there are people who act like they have ADHD. They fear a two-point rise and worry about a pullback, fear a three-point drop and get caught in a deep trap. They can't hold on, but they also can't let go. As soon as they cut losses, the market takes off; as soon as they chase in, they get buried. They make eight trades a day, paying more in fees than their principal, yet still think they’re doing short-term trading. You're not trading; you're paying taxes to the market.

The most deadly are those who feel uncomfortable the second they go to cash. No matter the trend or their emotions, they just want to be in the game for a sense of participation. Their account becomes a market ATM, ready to withdraw at any time, until it’s empty.

They make a little profit and run faster than anyone; but when they lose money, they can endure it much better. Taking 3% profit and running, believing in the value at 20%. Many small wins, but one big drawdown wipes it all out. In the end, trading isn’t about who’s right more often; it’s about how much you have left after a loss.

And then there are those who buy the dip every time it falls, becoming more confident with each buy. When the price breaks support, they still think it’s a golden pit. The big players have already pulled out, but they rely on faith to catch the falling knife. When the trend breaks, it’s broken. What they’re catching isn’t chips, but flying knives.

Ultimately, this market won’t give you money just because you “want to make money.” It only rewards those who can control their hands, see the trend clearly, and admit defeat when wrong.

If you’re still stuck in these traps, not making money and feeling lost, you can come talk to me. I don’t predict; I review, judge, and execute. I’ll share the paths I’ve walked.
