Bluesky's AI service ranks among the top blocked platforms - ForkLog: cryptocurrencies, AI, singularity, future
Bluesky users reacted negatively to the new AI-based service Attie, which lets people form their own algorithms for social networks and create personalized feeds within the AT Protocol ecosystem.
Attie debuted at the ATmosphere conference. Since then, about 141,000 users have blocked the Attie account on the social network. There are more bans only for the U.S. vice president, JD Vance—over 180,000.
Attie has only 1,500 followers, meaning it was blocked by 94 times more users than subscribed.
Bluesky drew most of the audience (there are currently 43 million registered accounts) as an alternative to the X platform. For many, the platform has become a refuge from more mainstream social networks, where artificial intelligence is used everywhere.
The launch of Attie’s AI solution was likely, in a sense, a betrayal of users. Bluesky is also criticized for refusing to add basic features such as sending images via direct messages.
Let’s recall that in February Meta unveiled an AI feature called Dear Algo, which allows Threads users to personalize content recommendation algorithms.
