I noticed that at the beginning of the year, many people are asking — which cryptocurrency is the most promising right now? Honestly, this question isn't as simple as it seems. New projects constantly appear in crypto, but among them, there are truly those that are genuinely developing the industry, not just raising money.
Personally, I follow several projects that, in my opinion, are worth paying attention to this year. Ethereum remains the king of smart contracts — that's a fact. The ecosystem is simply huge, with more developers than anywhere else, and regulators are quite favorable towards it. Currently, ETH is trading around (2.06K), with a market cap of $248 billion. Yes, the price has fallen from its peaks, but that doesn't change the fundamental role of the project.
Solana is a really interesting thing. I remember when everyone said SOL was dead — and now, the network is gaining momentum again. Transaction speed, low fees, plus a wave of meme coins — all of this attracts users. Currently, SOL is around $83, but there is potential. The main thing is not to overestimate dependence on the meme coin trend.
Toncoin — now this is a dark horse for 2024-2025. Integration with Telegram, Visa crypto cards in the EU, almost a billion messenger users behind it. TON has shown serious growth, although the current price is $1.23. The potential for mass adoption here is real, not just words.
Avax and Chainlink — both are seriously working with tokenization of real assets (RWA). This is not just a trend, it’s the future. AVAX is trading at $8.90, LINK has fallen to $8.69 — both are interesting from a long-term growth perspective. Polkadot with its interoperability is also in the game, although POL is currently cheap — $0.09.
There’s also activity on DEX platforms. Uniswap, despite the drop in UNI to $3.51, remains a dominant player. Trading volumes on decentralized exchanges are growing, and it’s not for nothing — people value transparency and the absence of intermediaries.
Sui and Near Protocol are young but ambitious projects. Sui focuses on speed, Near on scalability with AI integration. Prices are low — 0.87 and 1.19 respectively, but that can be both a downside and an upside.
So, which cryptocurrency is the most promising? It depends on your goals. Looking for stability — Ethereum. Want growth — check out SOL, TON, RWA projects. Believe in decentralization — DEX tokens. The main thing is not to chase after one coin; look at the ecosystem and fundamental trends. On Gate, you can track all these assets and build your portfolio based on personal analysis.
