Why, in today's social state, do we see constant occurrences of political polarization, online flame wars, and fan circle conflicts on social media? These seemingly scattered phenomena actually all exhibit the same pattern: group emotions are continuously amplified, opposition is persistently reinforced, and rational discussion gradually gives way to stance confrontation. There is a term called the "Pendulum Effect," which suggests that when a large number of people focus their attention and emotions on a particular issue, a collective structure similar to a pendulum forms. It maintains itself by creating opposition and derives ongoing motivation from participants' emotions.

This theory visually explains why conflicts keep escalating. However, if we only attribute social contradictions to an abstract "energy structure," we risk overlooking the specific responsible entities in reality. In fact, this ongoing opposition and emotional environment:

First, is related to the design of ideology by rulers or power structures. By guiding issues and creating divisions, they can effectively divert social conflicts and maintain the existing order;

Second, commercialized social media platforms rely on user engagement time and interaction volume for profit. Their algorithmic mechanisms are inherently inclined to amplify conflicts and emotions, thereby maximizing dissemination and revenue;

Lastly, within this structure, ordinary users driven by anger are not entirely passive. In defending their positions and venting emotions, they actively participate and reinforce this cycle of opposition.

Therefore, rather than saying society is controlled by some abstract "pendulum," it is more accurate to see it as the result of the combined influence of power, capital, and individual emotions.
