Odaily Planet Daily News: Google is about to finalize an agreement to provide over $5 billion in funding support for a data center project being developed by Nexus Data Centers in Texas, USA, which will be leased to Anthropic once completed. The project covers approximately 2,800 acres in Texas and is expected to provide around 500 megawatts of computing power by the end of 2026, with plans for further expansion.

Reports indicate that the data center will rely on natural gas pipelines in Texas and will be powered by its own gas turbines to reduce dependence on the public electricity grid. Google has previously provided TPU computing power support to Anthropic through Google Cloud, and this financing is seen as a further extension of their collaboration.
