In the year 2040, the supercomputer "π-1" has calculated to three hundred trillion digits. Before the screen, the chief researcher holds his breath. Just moments ago, twelve consecutive "0"s appeared. If the thirteenth digit is still 0, it would mean π terminates—the entire edifice of mathematics collapses. The progress bar jumps to 99%. He closes his eyes and prays. Five minutes later, the screen illuminates—a brilliant red "1" appears before him. The universe's infinity has ultimately safeguarded its final secret.
