Today's Share: Cognitive Perspective
Success has nothing to do with ability, vision, or emotional intelligence. Small ability can accomplish small things; low vision means I can do what's right in front of me; lacking emotional intelligence means doing things that don't require communication. These don't matter. What matters is character: whether a person can succeed depends only on their character, which is the foundation. A person can work extremely hard to overcome all difficulties! But the greatest difficulty discovered is the human heart—one's perspective on things, one's attitude. It's never the difficulty itself. It's a person's fighting spirit, desire, and vitality. To get through this hurdle, you can only improve yourself.
Losing money means you've lost nothing. Losing health means you've lost a part. But when a person loses their fighting spirit, they lose everything. True failure isn't the outcome of events but the sense of defeat in one's heart! Even if you mess up something, as long as there's no internal defeat or suffering, it's not real failure. A person feels pain and sorrow only when their heart starts bearing weight—that's when failure becomes reality!
When facing problems: don't be discouraged, don't panic, don't complain, don't even have emotions—sharpen your spear and prepare for the next battle. This is what a person who succeeds does. But many people, before the outcome is clear, have already imagined the worst result countless times, repeatedly torturing themselves. The result often ends in failure as they predicted. Then they shrug and say, "See, I knew it would turn out this way!" Finding another excuse to lie down. Remember: people don't fail so easily. Except for death, as long as you're alive, all defeats are grazes. Life has a huge margin for error. On life's path, turn left, turn left again, turn left once more, and you've turned right.
