Guangzhou's first land auction of the New Year explodes in popularity, with 8 real estate companies vying and the system crashing multiple times

Gelonghui, February 25 — According to Yicai, on the morning of February 25, a large comprehensive land parcel in Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou, was officially auctioned. The starting bid was as high as 18.6 billion yuan, second only to the 2009 auction of the Asian Games City land parcel. Due to its central location and large size, the land attracted significant attention. Currently, the eight participating bidders are Yuexiu, Poly, China Resources, China Merchants, Zhujiang Real Estate, Guangzhou Metro, Guangzhou Construction, and Guangzhou Urban Investment. The auction system crashed multiple times due to tens of thousands of spectators. As of press time, the bidding has exceeded an hour and a half, with the latest bid surpassing 20 billion yuan. The auction is still ongoing.
