Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News (Reporter Zhang Liang): On February 24, Shell’s co-founder, Chairman, and CEO Peng Yongdong, along with co-founder Shan Yigang, revealed in an internal all-staff email that they will jointly donate 10 million Class A Shell common shares. The after-tax funds will be used to establish the “Healthy Home Shell Guardian Fund,” serving as a保障 fund for approximately 500,000 Shell and Lianjia employees as well as industry service providers. Based on Shell’s closing price on February 23, this donation is valued at about 400 million yuan, and the project will be launched within the year.
It is understood that the “Healthy Home Shell Guardian Fund” includes three sub-projects. Among them, “Life Emergency Fund” is for sudden critical illness diagnoses. Once diagnosed and with complete documentation, beneficiaries can quickly receive 20,000 yuan within two working days. The other two projects are for special circumstances and safety nets. Employees and family members of industry service providers who lose their ability to work or meet certain conditions can receive a one-time “Warm Home Assistance Fund” of 100,000 yuan. Beneficiaries who meet the conditions for the “Warm Home Assistance Fund” can also receive a one-time education fund ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan through the “Children’s Education Fund,” depending on their children’s school age.
