According to Bloomberg, payments giant Stripe is in the early stages of evaluating the possibility of acquiring all or part of PayPal's business. Discussions are still in the preliminary phase, and no decision has been made on whether to proceed with the deal. Both parties declined to comment. The report states that PayPal has made slow progress in payment technology upgrades in recent years, with market share being squeezed by Apple Pay and Google Pay. Stripe was founded by Patrick Collison and John Collison, and its latest employee equity transfer transaction was valued at $159 billion.
