Hearings conclude into PSO’s $1.2 billion in CWIP projects

Hearings have concluded regarding Public Service Company of Oklahoma’s (PSO) request to preapprove $1.255 billion in Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) projects, which would be paid for by customers even before construction is complete. The case, involving eight projects including battery storage, power purchase agreements, and natural gas plants, is now under consideration by a Corporation Commission judge. Opponents argue against customers bearing costs for projects not yet generating electricity, especially given a pending lawsuit that could delay work.
