The European Parliament has postponed the vote on the EU-US trade agreement amid tariff uncertainty.
The deal, agreed upon last summer, was supposed to reduce or eliminate EU tariffs on a number of American goods and maintain zero tariffs on US lobster since 2020. But after the US Supreme Court overturned previous tariffs, Trump imposed a temporary 10% rate and quickly raised it to 15% – some European lawmakers decided that this changes the terms and legal basis of the agreement.
