Today at church, during the announcement, the pastor started crying. After about five minutes, he delivered the news: his 19-year-old daughter is pregnant... outside of marriage. He said that the temptation to abort the baby to avoid public shame was becoming overwhelming, so he is announcing it to shame the devil into not doing it. And then he started crying again. Other ministers had to escort him out. I thought there would be slander and secondary conversations, but he was escorted out with a standing ovation. I felt very happy that the church is once again recovering the love that once existed among us.
