At the close, the MOEX Russia Index was essentially unchanged at 0.00%.
The best-performing stock in the MOEX Russia Index was Gazprom PJSC (MCX:GAZP), which rose 1.52% (1.92 points) to close at 127.85. Meanwhile, Mobil’nye Telesistemy PJSC (MCX:MTSS) increased by 0.85% (2.00 points) to 236.75; Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT) gained 0.61% (0.34 points), closing at 55.96.
The weakest performer on the market was Bank VTB PJSC (MCX:VTBR), which fell 0.32% (0.28 points) to 88.60. Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT) declined 0.19% (6.50 points), ending at 3,337.00; Sberbank Rossii PJSC (MCX:SBER) closed down 0.15% (0.46 points) at 313.54.
A total of 158 stocks on the Moscow Exchange rose, outnumbering the 75 stocks that declined, while 15 stocks remained unchanged.
The Russian Volatility Index (RVI), which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, remained steady at 0.00% to 24.99.
Gold futures April options contracts increased by 1.67% (83.50 points), reaching $5,080.90. In other futures, April WTI crude oil futures declined 0.06% (0.04 points) to $66.39, while May London Brent crude oil futures rose 0.14% (0.10) to $71.30.
USD/RUB decreased by 0.03%, to 76.72; meanwhile, EUR/RUB rose 0.04%, to 90.39.
The US dollar index futures fell 0.13%, to 97.73.
