Recently, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the People’s Bank of China, the National Immigration Administration, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and other 11 departments jointly issued the “Implementation Opinions on Improving Digital Services for Entry of Overseas Personnel.” The goal is to unblock digital service bottlenecks and obstacles for inbound travelers, establish an interconnected, inclusive, and mutually recognized digital service system, create a more internationalized and convenient digital service environment, further expand high-level opening-up, and accelerate the construction of a new development pattern. The “Implementation Opinions” specify 14 work measures across five areas. First, strengthening digital basic services, including convenient telecommunications services, enhancing foreign language digital services, and building a digital integrated service platform. Second, improving digital payment services, including increasing the convenience of digital payments and enhancing digital consumption services. Third, optimizing digital tourism services, including expanding online cultural and tourism service channels, providing convenient digital transportation services, and improving digital residence management. Fourth, enriching digital public services, including providing digital medical services, strengthening digital education services, optimizing investment and entrepreneurship services, and improving government service levels. Fifth, strengthening network and data security, including enhancing cybersecurity protection capabilities and improving data security and personal information protection levels. (CCTV News)
