Ministry of Commerce: Steady Growth in China's Service Trade by 2025, Total Service Import and Export Value Reached 8,082.31 Billion Yuan

In 2025, China’s service trade steadily grew, with total service import and export value reaching 8,082.31 billion yuan (RMB), a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Among them, exports totaled 3,626.79 billion yuan, up 14.2%; imports reached 4,455.51 billion yuan, up 2.5%; the service trade deficit was 828.72 billion yuan, a decrease of 343.95 billion yuan compared to the previous year. The main characteristics are as follows: knowledge-intensive service trade maintained growth. In 2025, the import and export of knowledge-intensive services totaled 3,087.95 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%. Among them, the import and export of other commercial services, telecommunications, computer, and information services amounted to 1,333.29 billion yuan and 1,103.81 billion yuan, with growth rates of 5.5% and 10.4%, respectively. The export of knowledge-intensive services reached 1,832.12 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5%; imports of knowledge-intensive services totaled 1,255.83 billion yuan, up 1.3%; the trade surplus was 576.29 billion yuan, expanding by 158.17 billion yuan compared to the previous year.
