The Financial Support Western Land-Sea New Corridor Construction Work Conference held in Chongqing

On the morning of February 5th, the Financial Support Work Conference for the Construction of the Western Land-Sea New Passage was held in Chongqing. Chongqing Party Secretary Yuan Jiajun attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Pan Gongsheng, Party Secretary and Governor of the People’s Bank of China, also spoke. Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Hu Henghua presided over the meeting. Pan Gongsheng stated that ensuring financial support for the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Passage is an important responsibility of the People’s Bank and the financial system. The People’s Bank will continue to support the accelerated construction of the Western Land-Sea New Passage, strengthen cooperation with provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) along the corridor, support Chongqing as a hub, and continuously build and develop the financial services and infrastructure system for the Western Land-Sea New Passage. This aims to promote the interconnectedness and integration of financial elements, enrich and develop financial services and products, enhance the precision and effectiveness of financial support, coordinate high-level financial openness and security, improve cross-border trade settlement and investment and financing facilitation along the corridor, optimize cross-border financial services, and better serve the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Passage and high-quality development of the western region.
