On February 18, 2026, the second day of the Lunar New Year, Wuhan Guangming Dairy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wuhan Guangming”) in Dongxihu District was bustling with activity. To ensure market supply during the Spring Festival, the company officially resumed work and production on that day, with 80% of employees returning to their posts. All production lines are operating at full capacity to guarantee dairy supply across Central China.
The reporter visited the production workshop and saw the assembly lines running at high speed, with various dairy products coming off one after another. “We only scheduled two days off for the Spring Festival. Starting from the second day, we quickly switched back to production mode,” said Lu Pin, Manager of the Production Department. To meet the demand during the post-holiday market, especially the Lantern Festival sales peak, the company’s management team made early arrangements. Managers at all levels monitored operations throughout the holiday, strengthened duty shifts and equipment inspections to ensure smooth and controlled production.
The production line is in full swing.
It is expected that by the eighth day of the lunar month, all staff will be back on duty, laying a solid foundation for a strong start in the first quarter.
This year’s Spring Festival shopping season has placed especially heavy demands on the company’s production and supply tasks. Lu Pin revealed that starting a week before the holiday, due to rising temperatures, demand for low-temperature preserved dairy products surged. The company’s daily production peaked at 600 tons, nearly doubling normal levels. “Compared to last year’s peak of about four days, this peak season has lasted longer, about ten days.”
To cope with this demand surge, the company began pre-scheduling production in early January based on precise sales forecasts, simultaneously adjusting key milk sources and coordinating logistics resources to ensure smooth transportation. This enabled efficient supply to the core markets in Central China while radiating nationwide.
To deliver this “fresh” product safely and intact to consumers, the company built a comprehensive precise temperature control system across the entire supply chain. All refrigerated delivery vehicles are equipped with GPS smart monitoring systems with real-time temperature control, tracking and recording the storage and transportation environment at 2-6°C throughout the process. This ensures that products remain in optimal freshness from factory to delivery to retail outlets or consumers’ homes, maintaining product quality.
While focusing on production and quality, the company also pays special attention to caring for employees working during the holiday. During the Spring Festival, the company prepared various holiday gifts for on-duty staff, allowing everyone to feel the festive atmosphere and the warmth of “home” even while on their posts.
Wuhan Guangming’s intelligent factory in Dongxihu, built in 2022, features 30 production lines producing over 100 varieties. Its low-temperature dairy strategy, centered on “freshness,” highlights the “Youbei” series of low-temperature milk, produced using double-membrane filtration technology that maximizes the retention of active nutrients like lactoferrin.
Smart Production Workshop.
Lu Pin explained that this is a physical processing technique conducted at low temperatures, aiming to precisely separate different components of milk like a “sieve.” The entire separation process occurs at low temperature, using a purely physical method that avoids the nutritional loss and flavor changes caused by traditional high-temperature heating.
Through continuous technological innovation and process optimization, the quality of this product series has continually improved. Currently, the protein content in 100 milliliters of milk has increased from 3.2 grams to 4.0 grams, significantly enhancing nutritional value and market added value. During peak season, market performance has been very impressive.
While strengthening product quality, the company keenly captures market trends, promoting R&D innovation that resonates with consumer demands.
On one hand, it actively collaborates with new retail platforms like Pupu and Mingming Very Busy to develop co-branded customized products, precisely targeting niche consumption scenarios and continuously opening new sales growth points.
On the other hand, focusing on young consumers’ health preferences for “clean ingredients and simple formulas,” the company upgrades some product formulations, adopts fresher and brighter packaging colors, and continuously optimizes product structure. This aims to present a more fashionable and healthier brand image to capture future markets.
“We almost launch new products every month. Recently, series like ‘JianNeng’ and ‘ChangYou’ have received very good market feedback,” Lu Pin said. To further improve production efficiency and packaging quality, the company plans to upgrade PET bottle packaging this year and introduce new intelligent manufacturing equipment.
Guangming Dairy’s products are continuously being updated.
Looking ahead to 2026, the company’s leadership stated they will continue to deepen their roots in Dongxihu District, actively explore new models of collaboration with well-known local chain brands in fresh low-temperature milk, and work together to seek development. They aim to achieve new breakthroughs in regional markets and inject stronger “freshness” into consumer upgrades.
