19 Days Before the Spring Festival Travel Peak, Hainan Province's Comprehensive Passenger Transport Volume Increased by 8.05% Year-on-Year

On February 21, the Provincial Department of Transportation (Office of the Provincial Spring Festival Travel Work Group) held a press conference on the peak period of return travel during the Spring Festival in Hainan Province. It was revealed that on the Qiongzhou Strait, the total number of passengers entering and leaving the island during the first 19 days of the Spring Festival was 2.3323 million, a year-on-year increase of 16%. Among them, passengers entering the island numbered 1.1535 million, a 10.53% increase; passengers leaving the island numbered 1.1788 million, a 21.74% increase. The total number of vehicles entering and leaving the Qiongzhou Strait was 575,400, a 12% increase; vehicles entering the island numbered 278,800, a 7.5% increase; vehicles leaving the island numbered 296,600, a 16.5% increase. In terms of civil aviation, during the first 19 days of the Spring Festival, the total number of passengers entering and leaving the island was 3.8801 million, a 6.22% increase. Passengers entering the island numbered 1.9333 million, a 2.33% increase; passengers leaving the island numbered 1.9468 million, a 10.38% increase. From the whole province, during the first 19 days of the Spring Festival, Hainan Province’s comprehensive transportation passenger volume totaled 10.6819 million, an 8.05% increase. Among them, the total number of passengers entering and leaving the island was 6.2125 million, a 9.66% increase.
