#我在Gate广场过新年

There is a century-old saying on Wall Street: “Bulls can make money, bears can make money, only the greedy will die.”

In this brutal zero-sum game, many people die in the darkness before dawn, and even more die amid the noisy celebration.

Even if you shout the truth until your throat is sore, few will listen.

So, some words must be said upfront.

If you lose money, your first reaction is to find someone to cry to, seek comfort, seek a hug. Please turn left to find an emotional blogger.

Here, your tears are worthless, and your losses are just a penalty for your own cognitive flaws.

I won’t comfort you; I will peel back your mistakes layer by layer like an onion until you see your ugliest logical flaw.

If you always ask: Can this coin multiply a hundred times? I want to make back the money I lost in one go!

Go to Macau, where the lights are better than K-line charts. Although the ending is the same—zero—at least the service attitude is better.

Trading is not gambling; it’s probability calculation, a hunt for cycles.

If you stay, there are only three principles:

First principle: Good investments are boring.

If you find trading exciting, with your heartbeat racing every day and dopamine levels skyrocketing, you are probably losing money.

Enduring long periods of garbage time is boring.

Executing stop-loss and take-profit mechanically, emotionless like a robot, is boring.

Second principle: Discover flaws and criticize harshly.

Don’t fall in love with your holdings, don’t fall in love with your predictions.

Instead, judge yourself: what if I’m wrong? What if a black swan comes tomorrow? Will I get liquidated? Is this logic just my subjective delusion?

Only logic that can withstand the harshest criticism deserves your real money.

Third principle: Logic over emotion.

This sounds like common sense, but it’s as hard as climbing to the sky.

When the whole market is panicking, your instinct is to run, but logic tells you: buy.

When the whole market is celebrating, your instinct is greed, but logic tells you: clear your positions.

Trading is a lonely practice; Happy New Year.
