Abstract generation in progress

Mars Finance reports that the U.S. District Court in New York has dismissed the patent infringement lawsuit filed by entities associated with the Bancor protocol against Uniswap. The judge ruled that the relevant patent involves an abstract concept related to cryptocurrency exchange rate calculation, which does not meet patent eligibility under U.S. patent law. The court rejected the plaintiff’s argument that implementing pricing formulas on blockchain infrastructure makes them patentable, noting that merely limiting abstract concepts to a specific technological environment does not qualify them for patent protection. The plaintiff has 21 days to submit an amended complaint. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams briefly stated on social media that a lawyer just told us we won.
