According to the latest news reported by Odaily on the Genius project, Season 1 is scheduled to end on April 12. The project team announced a major policy change, fundamentally revising the distribution method of airdrops. Notably, they are introducing a retroactive allocation system.
Token Generation and Retroactive Distribution Schedule
GENIUS tokens are expected to be created by April 12, 2026, enabling the transition from the previous points system to actual tokens. The team has decided to increase the airdrop allocation from the conventional 50% to 100%, and the value of each user’s earned points will be retroactively increased by 50%. This change means that points earned previously will also be revalued, providing significant benefits to existing users.
New Standards for GP Point Distribution Rules
During the period until April 12, 2026, 10 million GP points will be continuously distributed weekly. Importantly, GP points will be retroactively allocated based on actual trading volume, meaning past trading activities will be re-evaluated. This mechanism ensures that users’ actual trading contributions are reflected more accurately.
Major Revision of Referral Reward System
The traditional referral bonus system has been abolished, and all GP points previously awarded for referrals will be reclaimed. Under the new system, referrers will continuously receive 35% of the trading fees paid by the referred users. This change aims to establish a more sustainable and transparent reward structure.
The Genius project aims to achieve a fairer and more transparent airdrop mechanism through these retroactive point evaluations and new incentive structures.
