The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has elevated post-quantum security to a core strategic priority for the network and established a dedicated Post-Quantum team led by Thomas Coratger, with support from Emile, a cryptography researcher at leanVM.
EF researcher Justin Drake stated that Ethereum is transitioning from long-term research into active engineering implementation, including launching biweekly development meetings for post-quantum transactions, running a multi-client post-quantum consensus testnet, and advancing related research through two $1.00M cryptography bounty programs, all aimed at proactively addressing the potential threats quantum computing poses to wallets and cryptographic systems.
