Recently, I have been paying attention to the developments in the Walrus ecosystem, and the data is indeed impressive. Over the past week, $WAL has increased by 8.74%. Although the magnitude isn't extraordinary, the story behind it is even more worth noting.
The mainnet is operating stably, with over 120 nodes now, and the decentralization of the network is gradually improving. Even more interesting is the technical roadmap—an upgrade called XL Blobs will be launched in the first quarter of 2026, targeting two major pain points in storage: how to store TB-sized large files and how to achieve millisecond-level data retrieval.
Honestly, this direction is quite ambitious. As AI and high-end commercial scenarios demand higher storage performance, if Walrus can truly deliver on these, it could have a real chance to carve out a share in the storage sector. Of course, technical delivery is key—the roadmap is easy to write, but whether it can be completed on time and with quality will be answered by the market.
The current price increase might just be a reaction to early signals; the real test will be the actual progress of the technology moving forward.

Roadmaps are all set, but ultimately it depends on whether they can be delivered on time. I've seen this routine many times.
Getting stuck on 2026, it's hard to say whether the market will still be around then.
120 nodes sound good, but when compared to top-tier chains, the decentralization level still leaves something to be desired.
TB-level file storage is indeed a necessity, but there are already quite a few players in this space. What are Walrus's advantages?
The price increase is a bit lukewarm, and there's not much buzz yet.

No matter how beautiful the roadmap is, it has to be deliverable; otherwise, it's just armchair strategizing.
XL Blobs sounds good, but it's not launching until 2026... the pace is a bit slow.
Just 120 nodes, still plenty of room for imagination.
An increase of over 8% isn't a big deal; the key is whether they can fulfill their promises later.
There is indeed demand in the storage sector, but I'm worried that the concept might be bigger than the actual implementation.

The roadmap is always the best story to hear. Let's talk about it again in Q1 of 2026.

Forget about the roadmap; the key is whether it can actually be delivered.

Roadmaps are always the easiest to draw; the key is whether they can be delivered. Don't become just another PPT coin.

The roadmap sounds impressive, but I'm worried it might just be empty talk... Deliveries are not until 2026, by then the enthusiasm will have cooled down.
