Techub News reports that, according to ABS-CBN, the Philippine police recently rescued a Chinese citizen who was illegally detained by Chinese suspects in an apartment in Pasay City, and on the spot, they arrested 2 suspects involved in the case, with 2 others at large. The police disclosed that the suspects had threatened with physical harm and organ trafficking, demanding a ransom of 1 million USD from the victim. The victim has been forced to transfer over 400,000 USD worth of cryptocurrency assets. Items such as tape, knives, and handcuffs were seized at the scene. Charges of kidnapping and extortion will be filed according to law, and the case is still under further investigation.
