Some token projects attract long-term holders through transaction taxes and dividend mechanisms. The core logic of this model is: each transaction incurs a fee, a portion of which is directly distributed to token holders, creating passive income.

From a mechanism design perspective, this dividend recycling model indeed changes the traditional zero-sum game. Investors who trade frequently and chase highs or cut losses generate transaction fees, a part of which ultimately flows to those who hold long-term. In other words, the costs of short-term trading objectively subsidize the returns of long-term holders.

This design theoretically encourages holding and suppresses excessive trading. For investors supporting this kind of project philosophy, as long as they maintain their positions, they can earn passive returns from the fees generated by daily transactions. The project team aims to create a relatively balanced ecosystem—allowing genuinely optimistic supporters to receive continuous rewards, rather than having all profits earned by traders and arbitrageurs.

However, whether this model can operate sustainably in the long term depends on the project's development prospects and whether the community can maintain active market trading. Trading volume determines the scale of dividends, which is the key to the sustainability of the entire mechanism.

Sounds good, but this thing's trading volume collapses and it's done.

It sounds like just a new way to cut leeks; once the trading volume drops, it's game over.

Is it the same old story? Trading tax dividends sound great, but if the project isn't popular, it's a dead end.

Sounds good, but without trading volume, it's still useless. That little dividend isn't enough to make a difference.

Sounds good, but the key is still having people to play it.

Basically, it's just a different way to harvest retail investors. When the hype cools down, trading volume drops, and the dividends disappear.
