A piece of advice for all aggressive traders: in this new cycle, really consider lowering your leverage.
It sounds like old advice, but the market environment has changed. Increased institutional participation has indeed reduced extreme volatility, making the market look much more stable. The problem is, black swan events can occur at any time, breaking all expectations. With high leverage, a single risk event can wipe out your position instantly, which is the fastest way to zero.
In comparison, spot trading becomes even more valuable. Not pursuing explosive leverage profits allows you to truly utilize time and trend. Holding steadily, as the market cycle evolves, your returns will come naturally. This is the way to survive long-term.

You're back to urging me to reduce leverage, are you all afraid of getting trapped? Haha
Wait, this time it seems like there's something... Black swan events are indeed unpredictable and hard to defend against.
Spot trading is slow, but as long as you're alive, that's enough.
It's already 2024, and you're still hyping high leverage, guys, you really should check out this post.
Leverage is such that when it's good, it doubles in 5 minutes; when it's bad, it drops to zero in 5 minutes.
I just want to ask, are people who reduce leverage making money now?
When institutions come into the market, it becomes even more dangerous; they cut us like playing a game.
Not getting liquidated is the biggest profit; I really respect that statement.

Laughing to death, I just like this kind of talk, sounds like my mom advising me to eat less late-night snacks, but every time I don't listen, I end up regretting it.
If I had known leverage was just a trick, I would have thought I was the chosen one when chasing orders at high levels, but after one K-line, I was directly turned into chives soup.
Take it slow with spot trading, at least I can still brag to my friends that I'm still alive, which is better than being wiped out and half-dead.
Really, don't chase that tiny profit; staying alive is the top priority. Otherwise, how can I share crypto jokes with everyone?

Here comes another to advise me to reduce leverage. Do they really think I haven't been liquidated before...
The words may be rough, but this guy does have a point
Still too young, 10x leverage enthusiasts, passing by
Black swans don't wait, everyone who understands knows
Spot trading is great, but the returns are so slow they put you to sleep
Institutional entry has indeed changed the game rules, you have to adapt
One thing to say: staying alive is more important than making quick money

Leverage, huh, it's really a rope between getting rich quickly and going bankrupt quickly... After seeing so many friends get liquidated, I finally understand.
To be honest, spot trading is slow, but at least you can sleep peacefully without being scared awake by K-line charts in the middle of the night.
Institutional entry indeed changed the game rules, but who can predict black swan events? A policy, an incident, and leverage turns into a knife.
I think the key is mindset, not everyone can hold out for the long term... That's why some make money while others lose.
Instead of dreaming of tenfold returns, it's better to earn a steady three to five times, living is the most important.
Looking back at the high leverage era, it was really gambler's thinking. Survivor bias makes us think we're very smart.

ngl, institutional liquidity smoothing out vol is exactly what creates these false confidence intervals before cascade events. seen this movie too many times. liquidation surfaces get violent when you least expect it, and leverage just accelerates your state transition to rekt.
