X's recommendation algorithm issues are indeed worth reflecting on. Some pointed out several obvious flaws:

First, the preference weight for individual content is too high. As long as you interact with a certain post, the system will aggressively push related topics, leading to the entire feed being dominated by a single topic. This makes the browsing experience very monotonous.

Second, the recommendation weight for the follow list is insufficient. Although there is a separate Following tag, it is difficult to see content from creators you truly follow in the For You recommendations. This means users have to actively switch tags to see the information they want, which is obviously not smart enough.

These issues directly affect user stickiness and information discovery efficiency. For Web3 users who rely on X for community interaction and information access, the decline in experience will be very noticeable.

It's really incredible that the algorithm is hijacked by a single topic. After browsing one crypto news, everything is about the crypto world, and there's no way to break out of it. Why can't the followers see it? This logic is ridiculous. The "for you" feature seems to have become a tool for traffic brokers. Users should be able to adjust the weighting themselves; don't be so authoritarian.

The For You recommendations are really terrible. When I click on a crypto news article, it's all crypto-related content. If I want to see something else, I have to manually switch tags, which is ridiculous. The algorithm is still stuck in 2020. I can't even see content from the creators I follow; instead, there are a bunch of inexplicable trending posts. I'm truly speechless. Interacting with a single Solana post results in a barrage of notifications. I never said I only want to see that, and the experience is just declining rapidly. The follow list is practically useless; For You is supposed to be the main feature... this logic is toxic, it should be the other way around. Honestly, X's recommendation system is just helping us discover unfamiliar content, but with such a poor experience now, I find myself wanting to go back to Discord communities.

The algorithm constantly spamming with useless content has long been annoying. One click and it keeps bombarding endlessly, never stopping. The Following tab is essentially useless; the For You section is full of strangers' junk. Who designed this logic? People in the Bitcoin community are all complaining about this. X really needs to reflect on itself. The more likes a post has, the more aggressively it gets promoted, completely ignoring users' genuine needs. It's outrageous. That's probably why more and more people are turning to other platforms.
