#ZK技术与扩展方案 After reading Vitalik's words, I have to be honest — this is true clarity.
Over the years of navigating the blockchain space, I've seen too many projects claiming various flags to cut costs. Whether it's performance breakthroughs in Layer2 or milestones in zkEVM, they all sound impressive. But the question is: have these technological advancements truly reached the users? Or are they just new narratives for hype?
I particularly agree with two points Vitalik emphasized. First, scalability — this isn't just about making Gas fees cheaper; it's about making the system actually run. Second, decentralization — this is a tougher nut to crack. I've seen too many so-called scaling solutions that ultimately become centralized fast chains, disappearing in the blink of an eye when they run away.
The most heartbreaking part is this sentence: "Not about chasing the next narrative hype." Look at how many projects are doing this now — chasing hot topics, riding concepts, and then running after a quick profit. Real infrastructure development is boring, unpopular, and doesn't promise quick riches, but it lasts a long time.
ZK technology is indeed the direction, but don't be brainwashed by those "revolutionary breakthroughs" press releases. The key is to look at two things: whether the underlying protocol is truly decentralized, and whether the developer ecosystem is genuinely active. Otherwise, no matter how high the performance, it remains a centralized database at its core, with plenty of risks.
To survive long on the chain, the most important skill is to recognize people and situations. Those who shout the loudest are often the most dangerous.
