Recently revisited the Dusk Network project, and the more I look into it, the more I find its approach interesting. This is not just a public chain that simply labels itself as "privacy," but rather building a set of financial-grade privacy infrastructure. They aim to tackle the core pain points in traditional finance that are the hardest to put on-chain—those business logics that are most sensitive to exposure and require the highest level of protection.
Interestingly, Dusk's attitude is very straightforward: instead of playing hide-and-seek with regulators, it's better to proactively combine privacy with compliance. This approach is indeed somewhat different.
**Lightspeed L2 is the real main course**
DuskEVM is designed to attract developers, but Lightspeed L2 is tailored for institutional funds. This L2 solution isn't just about stacking TPS numbers; it is structured around three practical needs: fast settlement, strong privacy protection, and auditability.
Why is L2 necessary? Just look at reality. The transaction frequency of real assets far exceeds that of on-chain DeFi applications. Market makers, clearing mechanisms, custodial banks—all these roles demand low latency. At the same time, regulators won't compromise—no matter how high the performance, auditability must not be sacrificed.
Dusk's solution is clever: place high-frequency, small-value transactions on L2 for execution, while final settlement and compliance proofs are retained on L1. This logic is almost identical to traditional financial exchanges and clearinghouses, only replacing intermediate steps with cryptographic verification, which simplifies the entire process.

Privacy + Compliance this combination is indeed innovative, but honestly, how many can really be implemented?
Institutional funds are most afraid of the phrase "what if the audit can't be completed," and Dusk dares to do this, indicating they have thought this through.
DuskEVM is just a stepping stone; L2 is the real thing that will compete for market share.
The traditional complex financial system, replacing it directly with cryptography sounds great, but how hardcore is it to actually implement?
Wait, can their auditability really withstand the light rain of regulation?

Privacy + compliance this combination确实戳到了痛点,比那些只喊隐私口号的项目靠谱多了

The design idea for L2 is really there, but I have some doubts about whether it can truly attract institutional funds
---
This idea有点像是在给传统金融搭一个"合法的后门",不知道真实落地时会咋样

搬上链交易所和清算所的逻辑?听着美,就怕又是另一个PPT项目

If compliance auditing can truly be done well, it确实比单纯追求隐私的项目有竞争力得多
---
I just want to ask a question, does this cryptographic verification really能让监管部门满意吗

Privacy + compliance is indeed an interesting combination, but can L2 really satisfy institutional appetite...

Privacy + compliance is indeed an interesting combination, but can Lightspeed L2 really capture the institutional funding pie? Or is it just another optimistic vision?

Alright, finally someone sees through this. The combination of privacy + compliance is indeed powerful.

Privacy + compliance has indeed become competitive, but Dusk's layered logic of L1 + L2 still has some substance. However, whether it can truly be implemented remains a question.
