Dusk Network provides a different answer with the Daylight protocol — this solution achieves full-chain native privacy protection on PoS public chains while maintaining sub-second confirmation times and impressive throughput.



On the technical level, it employs an efficient variant of Bulletproofs combined with BLS aggregate signatures, Segregated Domains, and Piecrust VM. Developers write privacy smart contracts in Rust, which automatically generate zk-SNARKs proofs during compilation, resulting in gas costs far lower than existing zk-rollups.

On the ecosystem level, $DUSK token holders directly participate in protocol evolution decisions — from circuit optimization and privacy primitive extensions to the introduction of cross-chain privacy bridges, all driven by community governance. Sub-second confirmation + native privacy, this is the way it should be. However, how long the gas cost advantage can be maintained is a question; it depends on whether the ecosystem takes off. Making privacy a foundational infrastructure rather than a patch is indeed a clear approach. The only concern is whether it's just on paper, as deploying on the mainnet is a different story. Community governance driving circuit optimization? Well, at least now there’s a project that takes token holders seriously. By the way, how is the token economic model designed? Is there a deflationary mechanism? I need to study this Piecrust VM. If it truly can make privacy contract costs so low, it will indeed change the game. Unlike some projects that only hype concepts.
