#数字资产市场动态 A friend from Shenzhen was caught holding several hundred bitcoins and was simultaneously targeted by police in Henan and Hunan—both charging him with "running a casino." Even more unbelievable, the same batch of coins was seized twice by police in two different regions!

What’s going on?

The police in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, seized over 100 coins, which were worth more than 40 million yuan at the time. The police in Changge, Henan, also confiscated 80 coins, valued at over 40 million yuan. In total, over 180 bitcoins are gone, with a total value exceeding 80 million yuan.

But the plot thickened in court. In the end, this guy, Li Donggen, was not found guilty of "running a casino." Instead, the prosecution charged him with theft and infringement of citizens’ personal information. The first court session was held in January this year, and no verdict has been issued yet. The court simply said "rescheduled for a later date."

This caused a stir in the crypto community. Basically—people holding large amounts of digital assets need to be more cautious. No matter what the final charges are, once assets are frozen or seized, recovering them is basically an endless pit. This is something to be very wary of.

80 million just disappeared out of thin air, this is too outrageous --- Police in two different places each detained once, this operation is really clever --- Reschedule for a new trial? This is just dragging time, the coins have already been divided --- Holders with large amounts of coins really need to stay low-profile, this is a lesson --- They changed the charges and still want a new trial, when will Li Dong stop messing around --- It makes me angry just thinking about it, why can the same batch of coins be detained in two places --- This incident scared me into quickly diversifying my assets, too terrifying --- The court's "reschedule for a new trial" is just waiting for the storm to pass --- No wonder the big shots have all moved overseas, holding coins domestically is just gambling --- 180 Bitcoins disappeared just like that, no way to recover them, this is the most absolute loss

Wow, this is really incredible. Each police department in different locations is investigating separately? How absurd is that? That's why everyone now says to keep a low profile and hold your coins quietly, so you don't get targeted.

How did the police in these two places coordinate? Charging the same coin twice is just too outrageous.
