The storage track of the Sui ecosystem has indeed become worth paying attention to recently. This decentralized storage protocol called Walrus uses Reed-Solomon erasure coding technology to disperse large files across a network of nodes, allowing for quick recovery even if more than 50% of the data is lost. Compared to traditional cloud storage and Filecoin, it has obvious cost advantages and is inherently resistant to censorship and privacy protection.

From an application perspective, AI datasets, NFT content, and gaming assets can all be seamlessly on-chain. The most innovative aspect is that programmable blob data can be directly read and written through Move smart contracts, which is especially friendly for dApps and AI agent development. The mainnet is already stable, and the WAL token has practical use cases in storage fee payments, staking and mining, and governance voting. The community incentive distribution is also quite generous.

Supported by top institutions like a16z and Mysten Labs, the funding scale is substantial. In the long term, as RWA, DeFi, and Web3 content applications are widely adopted, the demand for storage infrastructure will experience explosive growth. WAL, as the core storage layer of the Sui ecosystem, has real growth drivers. Short-term price fluctuations are inevitable, but this is a solid infrastructure project, completely different from pure conceptual projects.

After research and analysis, Reed-Solomon is indeed hardcore, but what did Filecoin teach us? Don't be greedy; first check if the WAL tokenomics design has any issues.

Get on board first, it's harder to regret after it blows up.

Walrus this time really has something, much more conscientious than Filecoin. The cost difference is truly no joke.

Walrus's logic indeed makes sense, but if you ask me, we should wait until the mainnet is truly up and running before making judgments. It's a bit early to be hyping it up now.

Walrus really has some substance; using Reed-Solomon in the storage layer is a novel approach I've never seen before. But to be honest, let's wait until the actual application scenarios are implemented. For now, it's a bit of an overhype.

The walrus technical solution is indeed solid, but FIL still has ecological advantages.
