To be honest, many projects now want to build their own public chains. But what’s the result? The chain runs smoothly, but data storage is a mess. Walrus’s approach is completely different — it chooses a more pragmatic path.

The core logic is actually simple: why do everything yourself? Walrus directly leverages Sui to handle node operations, while focusing all its energy on the specialized field of data storage. Sui is responsible for node registration and incentive mechanisms — that’s their strength. Walrus concentrates on how to store data more securely and reliably. This "division of labor" architecture looks simple, but in reality, it’s much more reliable than projects that try to do everything themselves.

On the technical side, Walrus uses erasure coding. Simply put, it fragments files and distributes them across different nodes. Imagine putting important items in several safes; even if one or two are lost, you can still piece together the complete data. This decentralized storage logic inherently resists censorship and truly achieves decentralization.

As for strategic vision, I have to give it a thumbs up. Walrus targets the AI boom — which major model companies don’t lack in? Data. Walrus becomes an ideal data storage solution. It also designed a storage fund mechanism: users pay all at once, and then nodes proactively help safeguard the data to earn interest. This way, users no longer have to worry about data security constantly.

The potential for ecosystem expansion is actually quite large. Any application involving large file storage — game resources, social content, on-chain videos — needs a low-cost, reliable storage solution. Walrus has laid down the infrastructure, so naturally, a lot of application traffic will flow in.

Security is Walrus’s trump card. It assumes all participating nodes are professional infrastructure operators, not retail investors who jump in for a quick profit and then leave. This high entry barrier actually enhances the stability and credibility of the entire network. For enterprise users storing core data, this security guarantee is truly valuable.

Overall, while the industry is competing at the application layer, Walrus chooses to focus on infrastructure. A team that solves real problems without relying on hype is what the crypto ecosystem truly needs.

Really? Finally, someone is not falling for the hype of "I want to mine coins, I want to build chains." Focusing on doing one thing to perfection is the true way to succeed.

No hype, no negativity. Walrus's approach is indeed clear-headed. Leave professional tasks to the professionals.

Infrastructure is the key, everything else is just fleeting clouds.

The erasure coding approach is indeed powerful. Compared to projects that try to do everything themselves, it's much more sensible.

Leverage instead of building from scratch, this approach is indeed clear-headed. It's much more reliable than projects that try to reinvent the wheel for everything.

Hey, this approach is indeed clear-minded—don't reinvent the wheel, focus on one thing and do it deeply... But to be honest, the key is whether Walrus can survive.
