Beware of investment traps: Employee sentenced for embezzling public funds due to virtual currency speculation

Abstract generation in progress

【Blockchain Rhythm】A real case serves as a warning to all participants in virtual currency trading. An employee of an issuing company, deeply involved in virtual currency investments, accumulated huge debts and started to have malicious intentions from spring 2024. He secretly replaced the company’s corporate collection code with his own WeChat and bank accounts,诱导 customers to directly transfer tutoring subscription fees into his personal accounts.

This scheme lasted for an entire year—from spring 2024 to spring 2025. In just one year, he diverted over 1.53 million yuan of company funds. And where did this money ultimately go? It was all poured into trading markets for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, in an attempt to recover losses through speculation. Unfortunately, this high-stakes gamble ended in complete failure, with all 1.53 million yuan lost.

The outcome is predictable: the Tong’an District Procuratorate filed charges of embezzlement against him, and the court ultimately sentenced him to two years and three months in prison and imposed a fine. This case serves as a wake-up call for all investors in the virtual currency market—trying to turn losses around by taking reckless risks often results in losing everything, including both money and opportunities.

1.5 million lost all in the crypto world in a year, and spent more than two years in jail. This is the price of gambling nature. --- Damn, to cover losses, directly embezzled public funds. How desperate must that be? --- This thing in the crypto world can really push people to the brink of crime... --- All gone in just over a year, the judge sentenced quite harshly, but it’s also deserved. --- This guy really treats his job like a casino, outrageous. --- So, greed has no limit. After losing 1.53 million, he still wanted to turn things around, ending up doubling his losses. --- Let’s give a warning to all crypto gamblers: don’t end up losing your job in the end. --- Embezzling public funds and going all-in on virtual currency—this is the most outrageous way I’ve seen to try to turn things around. --- Two years and three months for a lesson, whether it’s worth it or not is up to you to ponder. --- This incident is essentially a combination of greed + gambling + ignorance. There are so many “leeks” in the crypto world.

1.53 million fully invested in the crypto world and lost everything... This guy is really ruthless, digging a hole and burying himself. --- The mindset of a professional gambler is like this—going all-in and losing everything in one shot. --- I really can't hold back; to make a comeback, he even dared to embezzle public funds... His IQ must have been crushed by the coin price drop. --- Last year, there were many cases like this, and some people still jumped in. --- Two years and three months is a bargain for him, as I said. --- Just by reading this news, you can see that many people go bankrupt because of this scam.

honestly this is just 2017 FOMO on steroids... dude literally embezzled his way into a liquidation cascade. the math doesn't even work out—1.53M yolo'd into btc and he somehow thought he'd trade his way out? statistically speaking that's not a strategy it's a cry for help. reminds me of UST in May vibes but with mandatory prison hours attached lol

1.53 million entered the crypto world, and upon leaving, all that remained was a prison sentence. How tragic that must have been. Losing everything in a year, to the point where even gas fees couldn't be saved. This guy's risk management... isn't even a negative integer anymore. The most frightening thing during late-night reviews are these "All in comeback" stories; they really make people wake up. Embezzlement + two years and three months, the cost is too high, more painful than the loss.
